Netherfield Farm

The site of the original farmhouse at Netherfield Farm had been lost to a small housing estate through compulsory purchase.

The house is within sound and sight of the farm buildings and the single storey design better suits the health of the client.

The plot is an infill site in Dove Holes. Whilst the houses on either side lie within the development boundary, the site lies on a narrow peninsula of greenfield land adjoining the lane.

Although the site lay outside the established boundary it was accepted that the site was in a sustainable location and the development was approved.

The bungalow provides an open plan kitchen and living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a "boots-off"/utility room.

The project involved the submission of a planning application to High Peak Borough Council, followed by detailed plans to their building control department.
