Stonyslacks

Stonyslacks Farm is an 18th Century farmhouse in the upper Hamps Valley in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The project involved the construction of a lean-to kitchen and porch at the rear of the property. The development benefitted from Class A permitted development rights and planning permsission was not required, although detailed plans were prepared for the client and builder.

The extension is built using lightweight block, insulated cavity with stone facing. The rafters are supported by a steel rafter plate and purlins. The foundations and the steelwork have been designed to allow the future addition of a 2nd gable on the right hand side of the building.
